MBChB MRCGP Graduated in 2008 from Birmingham University and joined Barnt Green in 2013. Special interests include Dermatology, ENT and joint injections. In his spare time he enjoys all sports especially squash and skiing. Rugby must now be watched from the sidelines. He has a young family with his partner, daughter and son and his now happily settled into family life.

Miss Alarna Smith

As a Physician’s Associate (PA), Alarna is a new healthcare professional, medically trained to work alongside our doctors, under their supervision. She has recently passed her exams following the completion of an extensive 2 year post graduate course. As a PA, Alarna will see patients who contact the practice for on the day care, taking their history and examining them to formulate diagnoses and management plans. She is also trained to interpret test results and can perform certain diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Any necessary prescriptions and further imaging requests will then be issued by a supervising Dr immediately after the consultation.

Clinical Pharmacist Clinical pharmacists are increasingly working as part of general practice teams. They are highly qualified experts in medicines and can help people in a range of ways. This includes carrying out structured medication reviews for patients with ongoing health problems and improving patient safety, outcomes and value through a person-centred approach.
